3D Printers for Movie Costumes

3d ironmanThe innovation of 3D printers, which use ink or toner cartridges, has really invaded different industries at present. From creating models to printing human veins, this type of printer helps make 3D masterpieces possible. It might not be noticeable but even some costumes in latest movies were produced by 3D printers.

A great example is the costume of Robert Downey Jr., known as Tony Sparks, in the Iron Man 2 movie. The talented men behind the film scanned Robert’s hand and created a 3D glove to fit him perfectly. After the scanning, the printer created a layer of powdered plastic made from the ink cartridges installed in it. When this was a success, the entire costume and even the arch-nemesis Whiplash, were all printed by the said printer. The costume did not give Robert a difficult time in doing the film, unlike the first one.

3D printers never fail to impress the public in its contribution to fields that once relied on the normal printers. Investing in one would be helpful for a business who seeks new styles of making projects with printers and printer cartridges.
