Black Printing still Needs Color Printer Cartridges

braille_printingEvery printing need consumes different amounts of inks or toners depending on what you may be using. Some may think that if they are to print only black texts, they do not need to purchase color printer cartridges anymore. Well, maybe you might want to think again.

There have already been issues wherein a printer would still look for the other printer cartridges even when you already installed an ink cartridge for your text printing. This is because most printers require that all cartridge slots are filled with the proper ink or toner to continue printing. It is highly suggested to keep the cartridges installed even when these were already consumed.

In the case of black printing, this is also applicable. There are also times when the color of the file being printed might use a little content from the color inks and toners. However, a good way to do this, if your printer is the type that does not need all cartridges inside, is to change your printer setting into “Black Only” printing mode. You can find this by just going to your printer’s icon then printing preferences or settings.

Using black printer cartridge has proven to save printing expenses since it is obvious how the prices differ. Another way to lessen the printing expenses is to use compatible color toners since these are less expensive but can perform just like the original ones.
