Compatible Printer Cartridges Can Lessen Printing CostsAugust 5, 2010 3 Comments
A research was made by Lyra Research and Recharge Magazine to show if business who use laser and inkjet printers know how to measure their printing costs. The results were rather surprising which makes others realize that switching to compatible printer cartridges can really lessen printing costs.
281 printer users were asked to take part in the Color of Opportunity survey to see what they do with their printers and how they try to save on their printing expenses. It was evident that depending on what printer you are using, the applications that you may use will vary as well. For example, 84 percent of laser printer users said that they actually print their presentations from their printers while only 53 percent of inkjet printer users do this for their work. For general works, 76 percent of the inkjet printer users create printed materials and 62 percent of the laser printer users do the same.
For the departments that spend a lot on the printing costs, both inkjet and laser printer users said that the marketing department is one of the top spenders. However, there were some that pointed the customer service department for this while others named the other offices.
For the printing costs, it was evident that not everyone knew how much they are wasting when printing colored materials. Some answered that it is the same as the black-and-white printing while others thought that it was twice the amount. However, a rather close answer would be three times the spending on the black-and-white materials.
A solution that offices find helpful would be using compatible printer cartridges for their printers which are less expensive but with the same printing quality. It has already been proven many times that trying these third party products would not damage your printer; rather it will help you save more on your printing costs which can be increasing now like you’ve never imagined it will.
