Hi there, Robbie, I would look for other procedures to help you. For the mean time, you can try the usual toner hack that users do. Take out your toner cartridge shake it up a little to distribute the toner and install it back to your printer. Then check out if the printer’s toner level again. Worked out for me a lot of times.

My MFC-7460DN does not seem to have a “GO” button and has a display rather than leds.
Is there a procedure to reset the toner low switch mechanism?

It works! I have to turn off the printer for it to work properly after Step 8.

I saw a documentary which discovered that printer manufacturers have their printers set to print a certain amount of pages and then they show that the ink/toner is empty and needs to be replaced, when in fact they are not 100% empty.

My HL-2280DW uses the same cartridge, but none of your steps work — in fact it has no GO button or LED’s.
I’m sure there is something similar to get you to the hidden Reset menu, i.e. turn it on with certain buttons held down. But I need something that works for my HL-2280DW.
