Charterhouse PM Limited is headquartered in Hatfield, United Kingdom, the whole agreement was settled by Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe GmbH, based in Langenhagen, Germany, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Konica Minolta. The marketing services production company has subsidiaries in Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and Ireland, and 13 other branches around Europe. They specializes in Print Management, Digital Marketing Production, Studio Services, Data Management, Permanent POS and Promotional Merchandise thus expecting to improve Konica Minolta’s competitiveness in the production print business, as well as in their commercial printing and central production department as a part of their Medium Term Business Plan “G PLAN 2013″.
By adding Charterhouse’s expertise and service network, Konica Minolta will offer even more diverse solutions and options to meet the customers’requirements. “Core to our overall services and solutions strategy is to offer our Dealer and Direct Sales Channel new growth opportunities that add incremental value to their respective customers,” says Rick Taylor, President and COO, Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. “The acquisition of Charterhouse is a major step in our transformation process to a services focused company and aligns with our future direction.”
“This strategic investment will significantly extend the range of print and outsourced marketing management capabilities we can offer our clients,” said Ken Osuga, President, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe. “Charterhouse has an impressive track record in this space, working with many of the world’s biggest brands. We look forward to supporting the leadership team as they pursue global growth.”
On the other hand, Gary Mahoney, CEO of Charterhouse PM Limited seems excited about the agreement and accepts the new challenges and ventures Konica Minolta has for them, saying; ” “Our clients are looking for global capability and with the support of Konica Minolta, Charterhouse will become a truly global business. With its strength in Asia and America, Konica Minolta gives us a global footprint and provides the financial resources to continue expanding our business and supporting leading brands with cutting edge communications.”
With this, business analysts expect more from Konica Minolta, especially in the innovation and improvement of their printing equipments and printer consumables such as their Konica Minolta toner cartridges. For now, we could only foretell the possibilities Konica Minolta may present us in near future but only time could tell if this decision will pay big time and increase their profit in the following year.
