Konica Minolta’s Agreement to Acquire Charterhouse PM LimitedNovember 30, 2012 No Comments
Konica Minolta Business Technologies, Inc. announced last November 19 that they have acquired Charterhouse PM Limited and signed a definitive agreement with the European marketing services production company on November 9. According to their official press release, Konica Minolta’s acquisition is to provide their company with Charterhouse PM Limited “know-how in marketing and consulting for document management” with an aim “to strengthen its marketing capabilities to offer practical solutions to the customers’ challenges and expand new services.”
Charterhouse PM Limited is headquartered in Hatfield, United Kingdom, the whole agreement was settled by Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe GmbH, based in Langenhagen, Germany, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Konica Minolta. The marketing services production company has subsidiaries in Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and Ireland, and 13 other branches around Europe. They specializes in Print Management, Digital Marketing Production, Studio Services, Data Management, Permanent POS and Promotional Merchandise thus expecting to improve Konica Minolta’s competitiveness in the production print business, as well as in their commercial printing and central production department as a part of their Medium Term Business Plan “G PLAN 2013″.
By adding Charterhouse’s expertise and service network, Konica Minolta will offer even more diverse solutions and options to meet the customers’requirements. Through the acquisition, the company will continue enlarging and deepening its business portfolio to achieve higher customer satisfaction in the European production print market. - Konica Minolta Press Release, November 9

With this, business analysts expect more from Konica Minolta, especially in the innovation and improvement of their printing equipments and printer consumables such as their Konica Minolta toner cartridges. For now, we could only foretell the possibilities Konica Minolta may present us in near future but only time could tell if this decision will pay big time and increase their profit in the following year.
