New Printer Drivers Allow You to Generate Ready-to-Publish HTML Files

January 13, 2010 No Comments

Black Ice Software, one of the leading suppliers of printing, imaging and faxing toolkits, has recently introduced two new printer drivers, Color and ColorPlus Printer Drivers. What makes these new printer drivers unique is they include a self-contained HTML printer driver that allows users to create ready-to-publish HTML files. These HTML files come complete with formatted texts, graphics and other styles.

This new feature is considered as an excellent addition to Color and ColorPlus Printer Drivers. For one, users can now convert any printable file to editable HTML files. It can also be easily integrated with Sharepoint content management servers.

As mentioned, the new HTML file format produced by these printer drivers contains texts, graphics, CSS and page dimension handling features. The text is extracted to an editable format, preserving exactly the same positioned paragraphs and styling as the one used in the source document. Graphics are extracted to a sub-directory while the CSS is extracted either as an individual CSS files per page of the document or as one combined CSS stylesheet.
