Let’s start of with the difference in meaning of these environmental alternatives to OEM toner cartridges.

Refilled is the process when the empty toner cartridge given or “refilled” with toner. This allows the cartridge to print one more cycle. There are different ways to refill a toner cartridge. We will discuss three methods. First is the “unplug” type. This is the easiest one, but not always possible since most toner cartridges do not allow it due to their built. Second is the “melt and pour” method. Most refill kits have a bottle of toner with a spout. You will be directed to melt a hole in the cartridge with the size of the spout to avoid mess when refilling and after refilling the toner cartridge. Note that some refilling companies have made their own electric melting tool for precise melting. Then there is the “unscrew, unplug & pour” type. You can see this one requires the most work. You do unscrew, unplug toner cartridge parts and pour the toner refill and screw the parts back. Some cartridges do have screws, advantage of this method is that the refilling process is redo-able for a number of times.

We move on with the remanufacturing process. This is the process where and empty cartridge is disassembled and cleaned. Then the parts are inspected carefully so that broken parts can either be replaced with new ones or repaired. After this, the parts are reassembled and then filled with toner. Note that remanufacturing companies test print the finished cartridges for quality control. I might have made it sound easy, but to do this process, you might need years of experience.

Tonerboss.com takes pride in its remanufactured toner cartridges. We believe our remanufactured toner cartridges like hp toner cartridges can match up with the quality of OEM brands or may even surpass their quality. The secret is our years of experience in the industry and our strive for remanufactured product perfection.

Both refilling and remanufacturing methods share the common goal for saving the planet by reusing empty cartridges. Small scale refilling would be advised if you have the time and skill to spare. But are you really up to the task of unplugging, unscrewing, melting and these too much stuff? As most people say, leave it to the pros. Remanufacturing gives you the best quality, best price and the convenience of just ordering online and have the cartridges delivered right on your doorstep.
