If you are an HP inkjet printer user, you may have already experienced buying too expensive HP inkjet cartridges and realizing that maybe it’s not really worth the price at all.
HP has already become aware of this growing issue especially now that compatible HP inks and even the remanufactured types are starting to take over its place. So, a media tour with Mr. Thom Brown, a media specialist, was done to explain HP’s side on the matter. Here is a quick view on what HP has to say about its products’ prices.
HP would like to stress that it is not easy to create an inkjet cartridge starting with the difficult projects made to create HP print heads and the money and years that had been used to continuously develop these. The process of transferring inks on paper was also discussed since this is not an easy job for the cartridge and printer. Mr. Brown also gave comments on refilling ink cartridges which may result to poor printing quality at a higher expense. It was also justified that the high prices of HP products are the results of intense research and development to avoid damaged items and to even study why there are malfunctions that occur sometimes.
Although the views on why HP charges its customers with really high priced products have already been explained by this media tour, there will still be those printer users who will rely on the third party printer cartridges that work just like the OEMs but will provide a cheaper price for
